This is great advice and I'd like to add to it. I can only speak about the TikTok FYP but the algorithm is probably similar and here's the only way to change it. 1) Block people behind the videos with a certain topic if you never want to see that topic again 2) remove some likes/saves related to that topic; even if a video has useful info you can write it down somewhere else and unsave 3) wait some time (1 day or more) and then come back; both you and the feed will not be scraping the bottom of the barrel and your genuine preferences will reflect better in the feed. At some point this becomes a lot of curation work so it's better to extend option 3 and just consume less! Thanks for coming to my TED talk
